Furniture Before & After's

From forgotten to favorite. It’s incredible what a little paint and creativity can do for a piece of furniture! 

Check out the below pieces of furniture to see some transformations!
This 7 drawer dresser had new custom base and legs made and a new herringbone top that were stained in a chestnut gel stain.  The body of the dresser was painted in Fusion Minerals Everett.  New hardware was added to finish this look.
This was a hutch turned coffee bar.  The doors were taken off.  An adhesive wallpaper was added to the back and a metal coffee sign was added.  Lights and electrical were put into place on the top.  The piece was painted in Fusion Minerals Coal Black.
This antique hutch was refinished in Classic White Milk Paint and lightly distressed. The detail on the door front, shelves and legs on the hutch were stripped and then whitewashed with an aged glaze added over the top to give a weathered look.
The outside of this 8 drawer dresser was stripped down and then a weathered wood accelerator was added to give the piece a weathered look.  A raised stencil was the added to give the drawers texture.  They were pained in Chalked Paint in the colors of Linen White, Taupe and Country Gray.  A aged glaze was then added over the top to help to emphasize the texture of the stencil.
This antique buffet was refinished in Classic White Milk Paint and lightly distressed. The top and legs on the hutch were stripped and then whitewashed with an aged glaze added over the top to give a weathered look.
This 4 drawer dresser with a hidden top drawer was painted in Eclipse Black Milk Paint.  Since the top was a formica a new wood top was added.  The legs were stripped and  a weathered wood accelerator was added to the top and legs to achieve the weathered wood look.
This 9 drawer dresser was previously painted.  A heat gun was used to remove all the paint and then the piece was sanded down to its wood finish.  2 coats of Zinsser wood bleach was added to lighten to this beautiful natural wood tone.
This 7 drawer dresser was painted in Eclipse Black Milk Paint.  An adhesive grass cloth wallpaper was added to the drawer fronts.
This cabinet was painted in a pink ombre going from a light pink on the top to a darker pink towards the bottom.  A  beautiful Redesign flower transfer was added to the front.  The legs of the piece were updated with a farmhouse black spray paint.
This antique table and chair sets chairs were stripped down to the bare wood and then a varathane white wash was added.  This was also done to the top of the table.  The bottom of the table was painted in fusion mineral paint in the color pebble
This 7 piece high top dining set was completely sanded down to its bare wood.  A weathered wood accelerator was then added to give it this look.  New fabric was added to the chair cushions to finish this look.
This 3 drawer dresser was mostly sanded down to it's bare wood and then a whitewash was added over the top to give it this light wood look.
This buffet was painted in English Mustard Chalked Paint and was lightly distressed.  A smoked glaze was then added over the top of the paint.  The top of the buffet was finished in Briarsmoke gel stain.
These set of end tables was  painted in Eclipse Black Milk Paint.  Since the top was a formica a new wood top was added.  The legs and top was stripped and a weathered wood accelerator was added to achieve the weathered wood look.
This 9 drawer dresser was painted in  Lamp White Fusion Mineral paint. It had a texture tiled drawers where different colors of chalked paint were added and then distressed.  Feet were added to the bottom of the dresser.
This 4 drawer dresser was painted in Homestead Blue Fusion Mineral Paint.  The top and legs were stripped to its bare wood.  A whitewash was then added with an aged glaze over the top.
This cabinet was painted in Kennsington Gray Milk Paint and lightly distressed.  Briarsmoke Gel Stain was added to the top.
The middle of this church pew was sanded down and a Kona Gel Stain was added.  On the sides Chiffon Cream Chalked Paint was painted on and then lightly distressed.
This was an armoire to start.  New metal feet and a wood top in a whitewashed aged glazed finish was added.  New shelves were cut to fit in the space.  This piece was painted in Fusion Minerals Cast Iron.
This buffet was transformed by adding new metal feet and a new wood top in a smokey quartz stain was added.  The old wine bottle holder was taken out and a new x pattern one was added.  The buffet was painted in Fusion Minerals Victorian Lace.
This dresser was turned apothecary.  The old base was removed and new metal feet were added.  A wooden plank top was cut and refinished in a whitewashed aged glaze finish.  The piece was painted in Fusion Minerals Cast Iron and new handles were added to finish this apothecary look.
These nightstands were turned apothecary.  The old bases were removed and new metal feet were added.  A wooden plank top was cut and refinished in a whitewashed aged glaze finish.  The piece was painted in Fusion Minerals Cast Iron and new handles were added to finish this apothecary look.
These nightstands had new custom base and legs made and a new herringbone top that were stained in a chestnut gel stain.  The body of the nightstands were painted in Fusion Minerals Everett.  
This was an antique buffet turned rustic modern.  The mirror was removed and a new wood plank top was added in a whitewashed aged glazed finish.  Small pieces of trim were added to the front of the buffet to add a modern design.  New knobs were added to finish this look.
This dresser was sanded down to bare wood then a whitewash was added with a Fusion Minerals Driftwood Stain and Finishing Oil over the top.  A herringbone pattern was added to the front drawers using thin trim.  New handles and metal feet were added to finish this look.
This 7 drawer dresser was given new life by being painted in Fusion Minerals Coal Black and protected in hemp oil.  New hardware was added to modernize this piece.
This hutch was refinished in navy milk paint and distressed.  The back and top was sanded down and a weathered wood accelerator was added to give it a rustic look.
This bedroom set was refinished in fusion minerals Bellwood (Gray/Sage Green color) protected with antique wax. New wood plank tops were made in a whitewashed aged glaze finish. New hardware and metal legs were added to finish this rustic boho look.
This dresser was sanded down to bare wood and then stained in provincial stain and sealed with a protective top coat. New knobs were added to finish the look.
This oak armoire was scuff sanded with 220 grit sandpaper. Then was whitewashed with an aged glaze added over the top. The hinges were spray painted in farmhouse black and new handles from hobby lobby were added to finish this look.
This hutch was changed to a coffee bar!  It was refinished in classic white milk paint with a bronze metalic underlay. A new back and wood top were added. Thanks to the help of my Dad we added some lights to finish this look.
This nightstand was sanded to bare wood. Then a whitewash was added with fusion mineral driftwood over the top. A herringbone pattern was added to the drawer front. A new handle and metal feet were added to finish this look.
This headboard was refinished in fusion minerals cast iron. The rounded top portion was taken off and a new wood top was added to finish this new look.
This dresser was refinished in fusion minerals cast iron. A new wood top and hardware were added to finish this new look.
This cabinet was refinished in different layers of fusion mineral paint including cathedral taupe, cobblestone and chocolate. An aged glaze was added over the top. New hardware and adjustable metal feet were added to complete this rustic look.
This sofa table was completely stripped down and an Algonquin wash was applied to give it this beautiful natural look.
These nightstands were refinished in fusion minerals cast iron (off black color). A new trim design was added to all the drawer fronts along with new wood plank tops refinished in an aged glaze.
New feet were added to this cute little cabinet to add some height.  It was painted in fusion minerals midnight blue and really helped to highlight the beauty of the stained glass.
The chairs and table base were refinished in fusion minerals coal black. The table top was refinished in a mix of cathedral taupe, chocolate, algonquin with an aged glaze over the top.
This dresser was was refinished in fusion mineral paint colors in cathedral taupe, chocolate and cobblestone with an aged glaze finish over the top.
This dresser was refinished in fusion minerals sterling. A coal black glaze was added over the top.
This corner hutch refinished in fusion minerals coal black. The top was refinished in a mix of cathedral taupe, chocolate, algonquin with an aged glaze over the top.  New handles were added to update it's look.
This antique dresser was completely sanded down and stained in a provincial gel stain and refinished to bring back its beauty.
This dresser was stripped down to bare wood then a algonquin wash was added. A liming wax was added to finish this look.
This 7 drawer dresser was refinished in a blend of fusion mineral colors including cathedral taupe, chocolate and cobblestone. An aged glaze was added over the top to finish this look.
This 4 drawer dresser was refinished in fusion minerals Victorian Lace. The top and bottom front board were sanded down and refinished in an Algonquin paint wash.
These 2 drawer nightstands were completely stripped down. They were refinished in a Algonquin wash with aged glaze. New hardware was added to finish up this look.
This dresser was refinished in fusion minerals cathedral taupe with aged glaze added over the top. New gold feet were added to modernize this dresser.
This 3 drawer dresser was refinished in fusion minerals Cast Iron. A new wood base was crafted and stained in fusion minerals Driftwood SFO.
This 2 door cabinet was painted in fusion minerals raw silk. The shelves and top were sanded down and a whitewashed aged glaze was added.
These side tables were refinished in fusion minerals Victorian Lace. The tops were sanded down and new legs were constructed. They were refinished in an Algonquin paint wash.
This antique steamer trunk was refinished in fusion minerals Victorian lace, cast iron and plaster. The wood parts were stained in dark walnut gel stain. New wheels and leather handles were added.
These 1 drawer nightstands were refinished in fusion minerals Chestler. New wood tops were built and stained in dark walnut gel stain.  Also fluting was added to the drawer fronts to update their style.
This gun cabinet turned blanket cabinet for a client! Shelves were added and it was painted in fusion minerals carriage house.
This cute little table was refinished in fusion minerals lamp white and lightly distressed. A new wood top was added and refinished in an Algonquin Paint wash.
This antique desk was completely sanded down and stained in a provincial gel stain.
This dresser was refinished in fusion minerals oakham. The tops and bottoms were sanded to bare wood and an aged glaze was added.
This chair was completely sanded down and stained in Varathane's dark walnut gel stain.
This headboard was refinished in fusion minerals highlander with a coal black clear glaze over the top to add some dimension to it.
This cute little cabinet's top was sanded down and stained in varathane's dark walnut gel stain. The rest was painted in fusion minerals limestone. New knobs were added to finish the look.
This coffee table was sanded down and refinished in a wood wick paint wash.
This family heirloom was completely sanded down  and a whitewash and Aged glaze was added.
The plastic fronts were removed and 4x6 picture frames were added in their place to give the doors a more modern look. A general finishes Java Gel Stain was added to the tops and the bottom portion was painted in fusion minerals coal black.
