One day this summer while I was working outside on one of my pieces of furniture my 7 year old daughter approached me wanting to paint a piece of furniture of her own. How thrilled I was to hear that my daughter was interested in something I enjoy and do almost everyday. I brought her into my storage shed to have her pick out a piece that she would like to do. Together we found a little side table. We figured out a color and a way she went with painting it. I finished it up with sanding the fronts down to it's natural bamboo. It was such a wonderful opportunity and experience to share with my daughter. It was such a privilege to create a piece together. I had the opportunity to share my passion with her and teach her some tips and tricks along the way. I might have a great helper in the future. I can't wait to see where her creativity takes her.
